How do the address columns mount?
Our address columns include ground stakes that attach to the base using the included hardware. For easier installation, we recommend loosening the soil with a shovel or pickaxe before pressing the column and attached stakes into the ground.
Can the address column be done with a street name or other text?
Yes! Just enter the text/numbers that you would like at checkout. You can also leave us a note if you would like to see a design proof for approval before we begin fabrication.
What are the white number inserts?
White translucent plexiglass inserts that we install behind the laser cutout numbers. This enhances visibility.
We us an outdoor grade, fade resistant translucent white acrylic.
The white acrylic backing is held in with a welded frame on the inside of the column and is removeable for easy cleaning.
Can you do my logo/custom design?
Yes, we can do most logos. Please email us at Sales@TopNotchIronworks.com with your logo and what size you would like it to be. We can use AI, PNG, JPEG, SVG and EPS files. If sending a PNG or JPEG please send the highest resolution you have.
What finishes do you offer?
We offer raw steel, rusted patina and powder coated finishes.
Raw steel is bare uncoated metal. It can rust. We use hot rolled mild steel for all our signs. Each piece of raw steel is different. There may be imperfections, marks and sometimes scratches.
Powder coating is a durable baked on finish that does great outdoors. Our powder coat colors include Matte Black, Oil Rubbed Bronze, Copper Vein, Smooth Silver, Silver Vein and Gloss clear.
How Long will it take to receive my order?
We are currently able to ship orders out within about 2 weeks. Please see the details for each item for a more exact date.
What shipping service do you use?
We ship through FedEx and UPS. Deliveries usually take 2-6 days once the order ships out.
Can you ship to a P.O. Box?
No, please do not enter a PO box for deliveries. Most our items are too large to ship to a P.O. Box. To ensure your order is delivered correctly, we need a physical address.
Shipping damage/ returns
We pack our products with care to prevent shipping damage. If your item happens to be damaged during shipping. Please email us photos of the damage to Sales@TopNotchIronworks.com and we will send you a new sign.

I purchased an address column for my son and daughter-in-law, without these white inserts, due to a misunderstanding on my end. Although the column looks good without them, the inserts really do make all the difference. I’m very happy I ordered this upgrade and it’s well worth the additional cost because the address column without them just doesn’t have the same effect. The house number sign is great. This is the 36" tall unit and it makes such a difference in finding the house especially at night. A few rocks around the base and you have a very bueatiful street number sign.

This should have been mandatory to come with the original light. As others have said on reviews the light does not show through bright enough to be seen without the insert. I didn’t like having to pay for the inserts and tape them inside, but it was necessary or people passing by could not see it well in the daytime or night. Cut out in the day are not seen well and the light coming through the sign was not great shining through at night. The inserts ARE necessary and should come with the original sign. I love my sign now with the inserts!

Absolutely stunning! We have received so many compliments!!!! The quality is strong, top notch. Be sure to purchase the white insert so your address numbers show up during daylight. It was a late delivery by a week. Emailed my concerns and they were prompt in responding. Recieved it a couple days later. I absolutely love it. I did read that the translucent plexiglass made the numbers show up more duing the day, as well shows up at night! It will also keep the hornets/wasps out!!! I have had so many comments on it. Comes on around 9:15 pm and off around 4:45am! All night! I am a very happy customer. Thank you for a very well made product.

Great product! We've had a lot of people asking about it. Couple of things I did to the product. I wanted to mount the column to cement as in the picture. I made a square base out of angle iron and secured the column to the frame with rivet nuts so that it could be removed if needed. I also added rivet nuts to the lid so that someone just couldn't walk away with it easily. Something maybe they need to think about adding to the column in the future

Although it seemed to take forever, the weight was well worth it. Turned out looking amazing. In addition to the spikes that it comes with I used some 18 inch spiral anchors and fastened the spikes to those to give it some more stability. Very happy.

I love how it looks like and it's well designed and made. At night the number is well light and visible. But during the day the whitish/grayish inlet does not let the numbers be seen clearly. If it was bright white, maybe it would be more visible as now it blends too much with the metal color. I might change the plexy inlet at some point. In general, I'm happy with the purchase.
